In addition to our Sad People Talkies show, we will be taking over the Saturday night show (The Friend Zone) at Dirty Trix for a special Sad Friend Zone. This incredible lineup includes Seane Keane, Nato Green, The Imaginary Radio Program (Drennon Davis and Nick Stargu), Jay Weingarten, David Gborie, Casey Ley, Matt Louv, Ahamed Weinberg and Kyle Mizono.

Sad People Talking is coming to San Francisco! Teaming up with SF’s multimedia/video show Talkies, we are excited to present Sad People Talkies at Lost Weekend Video on Friday, April 5th (8PM). The show will feature a mix of LA saddies and SF talkies. Lineup includes George Chen, Ahamed Weinberg, Mary Van Note, Josef Anolin, Anna Seregina, Clare O’Kane, Land Smith, Jesse Elias, Jay Weingarten and Kyle Mizono.

We have a great RIOT LA show this week with Andy Peters, Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel, Brent Weinbach, Byron Bowers and Lizzy Cooperman…and maybe even a few more fun surprises. The show is open to all VIP Pass Holders for the RIOT LA fest. More info here.
This week’s show also marks the end of our current run of shows at NOLA’s in Downtown Los Angeles. It’s been a great Summer of shows, meeting and working with a bunch of great performers. Our elder Saddies are ending the show for now to focus on some other fun comedy-related shenanigans but we fully expect to be back in the future with more great comedy, AKA some more sad people talking. We’re pumped for a great lineup to end our current run of shows.

KARL HESS (@karlhess) will be performing TONIGHT! Karl is a comedian/actor who was voted as one of the Best Underground Comics of 2011 by RooftopComedy.com. He has performed stand-up at many comedy festivals, including The Bridgetown Comedy Festival and Montreal Just For Laughs Festival.

Andy is also a contributor to The Daily Show and known for his “State of the Industry” address at Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.

NICK FLANAGAN (@theflans) will be our Host at this week’s show! Nick is a very funny writer/comedian/singer. Originally from Toronto, Nick is the singer for the punk rock band, Brutal Knights, in which they combine musical notes with humorous lyrics. He claims to enjoy partying but the truth is that he rather be taking a nap. Oh, yeah and he has a comedy album out that you can buy on iTunes called, I’m Here All Weak!

We don’t have any proof that he’s a Southern gentleman, but he’s from the South and it sounds interesting! Brandon has performed stand-up all across the nation and he currently produces a comedy and music showcase at The Nerdist Theater called “LOUD NOISES!”.

BETH STELLING (@BethStelling) will be performing for us this week! Beth is incredibly funny and SWEET. That’s why her new comedy album is called, Sweet Beth. She was said to be a “standout” performer at this year’s SXSW Festival by The Huffington Post. She made her television debut on CONAN just months after moving to Los Angeles from Chicago. Needless to say, Beth is a must-see comedian!

We are super excited to have our good friend JAKE KROEGER (@mfjakekroeger) host this week’s show! Jake (short for ‘Jacob’) is a very funny comedian/writer and a fantastic blogger of comedy. His blog, The Comedy Bureau, has a huge following within the LA comedy scene (thanks to his eclectic staff). Jake also has a weekly podcast called, This Better Be Funny (@TBBFpodcast), which is usually pretty funny, because we said so!

We are very excited to have ILIZA SHLESINGER (@iliza) performing at this week’s show! Iliza is a very funny comedian that you may recognize from NBC’s Last Comic Standing 6. She won, she was the winner of the entire show. Iliza is currently the host of Excused, a reality-based television dating competition. All of this is really cool and all BUT the coolest thing about Iliza is that she has made the term, “Pub” (the soft underbelly of your pet), very popular and you may see it in the 2013 dictionary… if you read the dictionary.
